My Sweet Braxton and Sutton
Braxton and Sutton had to bring a cheap stocking to school with their name on it for their party this week. We went to the dollar store and apparently for a dollar you can buy a little stocking or one you can fit into! They had lots of fun decorating them with glitter glue too. But the best story from the day getting the stockings, was when a homeless man we met several weeks before outside the library and talked with and prayed for was sitting outside of the dollar store that day. We said hi as we went in, but didn't think he would remember us. Sure didn't remember his name but Sutton said, "that's Mr. Rodger"; I thought you are way too young to know Mr. Rodgers. When we went back outside we asked if he remembered us and if we could buy him a pizza next door. And then I said, Rodger right - and his face lit up and said yes! I told him my 4 year old had remembered him and carried him in his heart since last time we met. We are praying for and believing Mr. Rodger will give his life to Jesus - as he doesn't know him as his friend yet. And Mary said: "My soul glorifies the Lord and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior, for the Mighty One has done great things for me— holy is his name.”- Luke 1:46-47
