Snowed in!

The cast
Sweet Sutton was a wise man but apparently he looked a bit aunt Jemima-ish; b/c someone replaced his gift with a bottle of syrup!
Joseph and his tall Mary
New meaning to highway closed - this truck jackknifed blocking the entrance to the hwy; Jake drove up on a sheet of ice with 2 other cars stuck below to get us onto the hwy!

On Christmas eve we went to my parents for lunch and got snowed in. It ended up being a fun night and slumber party:) Sometimes it is nice to have no options. My dad is the emergency management coordinator for Midwest City so he had to leave many times to help with those stranded. We decided we would play it safe and try to head home in the morning. My camera died so I just got a few pics with my phone. We opened gifts, played games, talked, kids acted out the Christmas story (Amanda was the tallest Mary ever compared to Braxton her Joseph) and watched the Nativity movie. It had been quite some time that we had not had to be from one event to the next, and Jake and I looked at each other and said, "what a gift!" With Amanda officially added to the family; this year was even a better Christmas than last!

Psalm 103:1-3
1 Praise the LORD, O my soul;
all my inmost being, praise his holy name.

2 Praise the LORD, O my soul,
and forget not all his benefits-

3 who forgives all your sins
and heals all your diseases,
