Koop may not miss his sleeping situation - he never complained though! Actually cried when we left - mainly b/c he did not want to leave daddy and our awesome team!
Oh yeah! I will not miss washing clothes in a bucket:)
Dream Teams!
Kooper and I got back from Haiti very early this morning. Wow! What an amazing trip- God is doing amazing things there. We have laughed a few times about the things we will not miss - getting out of the cold shower (which actually felt good) and putting on bug spray (we still got tons of bites; I guess that's why we took chloroquine for Malaria) and in the morning putting on sunscreen and off again; and the rooster who kindly woke us every morning at 4:45 and continued every 10 minutes until almost 9.:-) That's about all I have to complain about (Jake may have made a few comments about the heat while we were trying to go to sleep; that we literally laughed at until we could not breathe) - it was an amazing week. We had no time and no way to update while we were gone so I'm just going to post things about specific tent cities or team time etc. What an amazing trip with what we call the dream team!!!! The people we encountered were broken and hungry. We maybe had a handful of people we shared with not respond to the gospel (hundreds of salvations) and about 50 healings to date! Continue to pray for Jake and the rest of the team as they follow up with and disciple the leaders of these communities and teach them to meet corporately and obey the commands of Jesus. Also, team PAP - God is giving us amazing favor!
