We love Easter and have found that it is best for us celebrated over several weeks rather than a weekend. How do you pack the most impacting story of all time into one week anyways? We are so blessed by the way God has revealed Himself to our kids in a way that they really get the cross. Not that it hasn't been repeated over and over again, but that they really identify it as not just a story but THE STORY that changed everything for Eternity. We pray God will continue to teach All of us more of His ways and His sacrifice - not b/c we are deserving but b/c His grace truly is sufficient for each of us. Overcoming death for once and for all - yet we still have a part to play - we must receive the "gift" through faith. We are so blessed to be surrounded by so many that live with all their eggs in one basket - Jesus is the way! Yet, we know that there are so many that still haven't heard or just haven't reached out and received the gift. We are praying that God will continue to put people in our paths and yours alike and we will be faithful to tell them that there is "good news"!
Our kids were so tired when we came home Saturday night that the boys opted to sleep in their clothes. The next morning they were up bright and early ready for the fun! They opened their easter gifts and we talked about the empty tomb!
Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of life is eternal life in Jesus Christ our Lord.
