Happy Birthday Papa!

Papa's girl!
Papa with his silly grandkids
Preslee and Jake
Luke and Koop
We got to go to Jacob Tanner's first 8th grade football game and celebrate Papa's birthday afterwards. Jake did awesome - in fact the other team chose not to play the 4th quarter because they were so far behind (46-0 to be exact) great job Jake! We went and celebrated Papa's birthday at a great Italian restaurant overlooking the golf course. We love you Papa and are so grateful for the mighty man of God you are. Thanks for loving us all so well. May this be the best year yet!

Sutt-Sutt

Maggie - one of Sutton's best buddies came over the night before to pray for Sutton and bring him this sweet penguin to take with him the next day!
Bright and early at the hospital Juju and Grandad came to be with Sutton!
Sutton waking up from his deep sleep - we could have won money with this one - he said, "look at that donkey crawling and all those frogs"! When we told him they were not there he said, "I guess they are just in my eyes". He is so cute and did so well!

On Wednesday morning Sutton went in for a GRD (scope) to examine any damage that may be in his stomach and the cause behind it. We have been praying like crazy for him to be healed and a good report. We were relieved to find out that although he has some gastritis (damage to the lining of his stomach) he has no inability to break down or allergens to foods. Praise God! Please pray with us that any damage to his stomach will be completely healed and he will live symptom free!

Psalm 103:2-3 Praise the Lord and forget not all His benefits; who forgives our sins and heals all our diseases.

Bike rides on campus!

Becca is one of Preslee's heros - we actually have to tell Preslee that Becca brushes her hair to get her to sit still to get hers fixed (so grateful for Godly women who invest in her life)!

We have been taking full advantage of the cool August nights and spending time with friends. We have been bike riding like crazy the past few weeks (every free night we get)! It has been a great place to have fun, burn some energy and share the love of Jesus! My camera got dropped and broken on the "Bookout ride" so the dark press box pic is all I could get but still tons of fun. Looking forward to many more rides soon!

Nice kick Sutton
Daddy you are such a great coach - on the field and in life!

Braxton and Sutton are playing soccer again. They have so much fun - I'm not sure if it is soccer or playing with their cousins. The Spider monkey's (nice name I know) have won both games. It is fun watching all of the boys get better each season. You guys are getting so big! It just keeps getting better!

Ta-da!

Just after dropping the boys off at school we headed over for Preslee's first gymnastics class. She has been talking about it for weeks and absolutely loved it! Even a greater treat is that our sweet friends Sadie, True and Selah are in her class too - fun for Preslee and mommy! She is quite the little muscle - jumping and flipping and can't wait to go again! I have loved getting mommy and Preslee time each Tuesday and Thursday - she truly is delightful!

So fun to go to school with your best buddy!

The fun has began! This week we started school and the boys are loving it. All 3 of them go to school on Tuesday and Thursday and we are getting in the routine of in the car at 7:45 and I finish the drop offs at 9 am when B and S get to their school. Kooper's school is a good 20 minute drive but we are so grateful to get to be a part of it. Excellence is the word I would use to describe it - I am going to learn so much this year! They value the word of God and it has been so fun to get to partner with them since I get to teach him at home 3 days and they teach him on 2 days (praise God he seems to be right on track - did I mention I home-schooled all last semester and really didn't know what I was doing; was just being obedient to what God asked us to do:) Grateful that He fills every gap when we run after Him. Brax and Sutton are having tons of fun playing with their cousins and getting to be in the big kid "giant" class this year. And what a treat to get to be with all of my sweet kids 3 days a week - I am so glad God has asked us to have this season, as exhausting as it can be at times. It has been so much fun to see Koop start first grade - wow! It is so much like an "intense" discipleship relationship these days and so much fun to see amazing fruit! I was reading a book the other day and it talked about how an apple tree is an apple tree regardless of the state of the apple tree or even lack of leaves or fruit in the winter; to call it anything else would actually be a lie - we encourage you to call things as God says they are and people who God says they are - regardless of their present state - we speak the word over our kids constantly - calling out the things God has spoken over their lives - they are mighty for the Kingdom, over comers, full of self-control, possessing every fruit of the spirit and so forth.

The Parks!

The gang at Disney Land!
Watching a performer at downtown disney waiting for dinner! They all could have fallen asleep in 2 minutes - but since we are such great parents - we just filled up their tanks and pressed on for hours!
California Adventure
Brax, Pres and Port with the cars
M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E
Juju and Grandad are always a favorite!
Cinderella taught the kids how princesses and princes stand!
Sleeping beauty had not met many princes like Brax and Port! They wrapped themselves in her skirt - like a cool cape!
Little Honeys!
Cuddling Chip
Anna and Sutton sharing some popcorn
Sutton and daddy shooting Zurg on the buzz ride
She made it! She loved her 1st roller coaster!

If the beach was not great enough we got to go to Disney Land and California Adventure too. It was not as warm as Orlando; which was refreshing. It has been so fun to go to parks each year with cousins and see how the kids grow and change. From the things they want to do, to who their favorite characters are. We have decided that fear is either taught and we ran out of time teaching other things to teach it; or praise God our kids didn't have a spirit of fear put on them - about the only tears were not being able to ride "scary" rides that they were not big enough for. What a fun trip - can't wait to do it again. We are so grateful for an amazing family!

2 Timothy 1:7 For God did not give us a spirit of fear; but of power, love and self-discipline!

Preslee and Ella in their matching tutu suits - not such a great pic but they are still cute!

Tiny little wet suit!
Brax and Mickey
Sweet Elizabeth
Sutton riding a wave

Yes, this is real! Jake's uncle Mickey was so gracious and generous to have us for the week. The beautiful white everything house may never be the same! He bought wet suits for all of the kids; they were so cute in them. It was definitely the slowest pace vacation we have ever taken, but so enjoyable. We slept with the doors opened and could hear the crash of the waves and watch the sun rise and smell the ocean (not always the best smell). It was so great to spend time with family and enjoy what God has made - His creativity continues to amaze me! The kids loved the beach - some more than others - but just love playing with their cousins and being with Juju and Grandad no matter where they are. Thanks for the fun memories!
