Katie and the boys outside the movie
We love the Chronicles of Narnia. We have not finished them all but we skipped to the Dawn Treader this summer when we heard it was going to come out on December 10th and made a plan --way in advance to go on Braxton and Sutton's b-day night. Even though we had school, school parties, musical theater and Koop had bball practice we stuck to our plan! Rachel came over to play with Preslee and put her to bed; and Juju, Grandad and Katie joined us for the show! I have to say it was amazing! The symbolism and prophecy - some of which has taken place between the time C.S, Lewis wrote it and now is so amazing! The depiction of dark and light and the real spirit realm was fascinating! I even had the thought - I think people could get delivered just watching it!!!
We have loved talking with our boys the past few days about what they took away and man is it powerful! I should have written it down; but didn't so I'm sure I'll mess it up, but one of my fav parts was when Eustace (after being changed back from a dragon) says, I kept trying to do it myself for so long, but when Aslan did it, it was so different - it kind of hurt, but it was good hurt like a thorn being pulled out of your foot!
