I remember having at least one snow day every year when I was a kid - maybe all the years just ran together? But I have never seen anything like this. Warm and beautiful Monday afternoon and by the time we went to bed Monday night it was thundering and storming and we woke up to a completely white day! Daddy couldn't even make it to work - total bonus! So we spent the morning doing school work (b/c the kids school isn't counting a snow day since we can actually do everything at home) and then HERO daddy got everyone out the door for some cold sledding, fort making. Kooper stayed out most of the day play and building with some of our older neighbors. Did I mention I didn't participate in the freezing activities? I had the hot chocolate ready upon their return though! Fun day to do a bunch of nothing!!! Reading a book by the fire is a rare gift around here. Oh, we read lots of books; they are usually just crammed in between activities. We will call the day a gift!
