Welcome home Lucy!

Our sweet friends the Pickards brought their 15 month old daughter home from Ghana yesterday.  Her momma and I have laughed, cried, prayed - lots, and she is finally home!  I in some way owe Kelly for leading me down the Ghana Rd.  If I had not gotten on Rainbowkids.com to see little Lucy's photo, we would not have gotten an email about a 2 year old little one we accepted a referral for and changed countries to pursue (later to find out her extended family would come out due to the investigation) and He truly lead us to Harper Florence - so grateful for Kelly's support and friendship and the part she has played bringing home Harper Florence (hopefully in the next few weeks).  They have such a special family and to get to be at the airport and see their other three kids, grandparents, cousins and friends ~ we are all so happy for them to start this new chapter in their lives as a family of 6 ~ Congrats!
Airport welcome home parties my be my favorite new past time - what a special time!
 Kids waiting with their signs
 Preslee wore her Africa shirt for the celebration
Lucy with her mamma - yep, she is a definite cutie
(so fun to get to see her again at school this am)
Two weeks ago I woke up to an email with this picture - Harper was getting her medicals done the same day as Lucy and Kelly got to tell her we are friends!
*** Harper Update: We got news yesterday that they denied our exit interview date and are apparently backed up for weeks - so we will not be able to travel to get her until Mid - March
After crying off and on most of the day yesterday we are much better today.  Super disappointed but spending time with Jesus this morning I was super encouraged and I trust His timing completely!
{Thank you for all the support and encouragement this week friends!  Spending time with Jesus He gave me this verse that I spoke over myself and feel like it is also for many of you WAITING!
His purpose WILL prevail and He has not led you down this road to leave you but to bring you to the fullness and purpose!  Can't wait to celebrate more and more families growing this year!}
Proverbs 19:21  Many are the plans in a man's heart, but it is the LORD's purpose that prevails.
***What a place of Rest we can enter knowing He is in control!
