Immediately following the earthquake this city received no aid and they had dirty sheets over their shelters instead of tarps - so others named them the dirty sheets - an earlier team renamed them the Treasure. We went there the first time and saw lots of fruit, met the leaders of the city and shared the gospel with a large group following the drama. Also, some of our guys took their leaders thru lesson one on salvation. But we still felt a spiritual oppressiveness - we prayed a ton before returning 2 days later. When we arrived we were greeted with excitement wanting to tell us they had set up a tent as God's house and that they had met the previous night to worship and go over lesson 1 they had received the previous day. Many more were healed and saved. We were encouraged - they were not only hungry but obeying and reproducing what they had been taught! The team will continue to invest in the treasure over the next week and pass their info on to the next team! When we left the 2nd time one of our translators led the whole group in worship while we were waiting for our van - it started to rain lightly and they just danced and sang before the Lord! The best was a little old started dancing and the entire place erupted.
