I wasn't even looking, just trusting and then God threw her right into our laps! We had originally had up to 12 months, either gender, Ethiopia. About a month ago God told Jake and I both to expand our parameters to take up to a 36 month old. I went on a waiting child site to see a friend's baby and had to put in some very basic info like email. Several weeks later (Monday) received an email (about 2 minutes after it was sent) that there was a new waiting child listed - Healthy, girl, Africa, 2 years. Holy Spirit said pursue this; not a coincidence. Tracked down who I needed to talk to - was first inquiry and was paper work ready. A few days later they notified us that she was ours if we wanted her. We prayed to make sure she was truly ours! We were ready to go! But apparently all the needed investigation for adoption located extended family that was willing to step up and take care of her; so her case was 'pending'. Found out yesterday that her case will probably not reopen any time in the near future and have peace from God that it is 'black and white' is what God told Jake it would be. Surprisingly God has so covered our hearts and we are thankful and see his hand in all of this and trust him to completely unfold his perfect plan for us and her. So we wait and we pray and ask GOD for wisdom from Heaven!
God sets the lonely in families!
