Homeschool benefits!

In our state you never know what you are going to get with weather.  One day it may be rainy and wet and 24 hours later sunny and hot.  So when snow comes our way we jump at the chance to play in it and make a few snow angels, sled and maybe even build a snow man.  We woke up to snow a few weeks ago, actually it started to snow right after the kids went to bed; so we adults got to play in it a bit but they woke up to a fun surprise.  Our schedule has been packed this winter so we had a family meeting a few weeks before and decided that if we were going to home school we were going to enjoy every benefit of it, there are enough sacrifices involved.  Like if we want to stay up late to do something together - sleep in the next day!  Work hard in the morning and play outside or even have a playdate with friends after school!  So when I had all of their snow gear out and told them at breakfast the plan for the day (that what they needed to complete is out and they could work on it anytime they wanted between trips out in the snow)- they all agreed that home school is so great!  Because around here you never know how long snow will last or when you will get another snow day again.  And it is super fun as a mom watching them learn and grow into increasingly independent little ones with such sweet fruit!
