5 Months home!

I looked at Jake this week and said, "We have come a long way"!  As I looked back through pictures with Harper the other night I was amazed at just how far we have come.  Often when you are in the middle of it you loose sight of the drastic change.  The days of crying over EVERY meal, running away and hiding, emotional breakdowns, having my hair rubbed so hard and for so long I'm lucky I am not bald, carrying a 39 lb girl everywhere - to name a few.  Now she is simply joyful, fun, securely attached and just one of the kids.  She is fun, loves Jesus (she told me the other day we need to go back to Ghana and tell her family about Him), such a great dancer, kind and compassionate and a super sweet friend to everyone.  She even started school this week - she goes for two hours every afternoon and is loving having "her thing"!  Her English is so great; she is still confusing her pronouns - but we actually think it is funny when she calls her brothers "she or her".  Love my girl and excited for the road ahead.  Glad to be 5 months in, because I don't know if I have it in me to do it over again! :-)

2 Cor. 12:9   My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.
